so basically if u want 2 accounts i would need 2 buy just buy another account and instal the expansion 2 play from old pre-searing 2 end of expansion

you would need a separate copy of chapter 2 for each account.

or only one of the 2 accounts would be able to go on to chapter 2.

1 chapter 1 account plus 1 chapter 2

2 chapter 1 accounts plus 2 chapter 2 expansions.

1 chapter 2 will not work with 2 chapter 1 accounts.

and finally if chapter 2 is installed as a standalone game your chapter 1 characters will have no access or connection to the separate chapter 2 content

I think the OP is refering to buying Guild Wars: Faction as a seperate stand-alone package instead of just an expansion in order to have 2 seperate accounts. Because the expansion supports play even without the first chapter, technically players can have over 8 characters, (or 10 with 1 extra slot on each account). Of course with the downside being that none of the 4/5 characters are interchangeable.

the only way you could play from presear to the end of chapter 2 is by making them one single account.

if you make it as 2 accounts your chapter 1 Ascalon presear could travel ONLY to the end of chapter 1 and that is as far as it goes.

your chapter 2 second account characters will START in the chapter 2 equavalent of presear (not Ascalon presear) and go to the end of chapter 2.

your chapter 1 and chapter 2 characters in this case will not see each other at all

they will be locked in 2 separate game worlds

i want 2 hav my characters go through 2 chapter 2 so i will buy the expansion for them 2 proceed 2 chapter 2 but my main question was

will there b more character slots caus i hav maxed out my character slots and i hav better thing 2 buy with £60 than a normal GW and the exp GW

so will ANET b adding at least 2 slots 2 the expansion

I have a deep dark feeling thats going to happen.. Everyone right now is saving their money, but I don't think characters from the original GW will be able to access the RP in Factions.. Now I feel kinda bumbed out that I have so many sets of 15k and I'm never gunna use them again. Too bad 15k can't be sold back to vendors for like 7.5k

If this is one of your fears, then just don't install Factions as a Stand-Alone, but add it to your original GW-account

You will still be able to transfer all your original characters to Cantha, because they will on the same account you installed the new chapter on.

They'll add at least 1 new slot, and there will probably be more after the ranting that people wanted more than 1. In the artickle it said only 1, but it was denied by Alex Weekes who said they weren't sure about the exact number of extra slots, so it's anywhere from 1-4 right now.

PLEASE STOP USING 22222222222222222222222222222222222222222s and use proper English.

To (see the use of to not 2) make it simple, if you have 2 copies of the original game currently out then you need 2 copies of chapter 2 when it comes out.

Its only logical, you bought 2 copies of of original Guild wars, how would you expect to use only one copy of chapter 2 for both copies of the original game.

Its common sense.

On the other topic, Anet does not know how many slots it will be adding for people that own current guild wars and buy chapter 2.

Current characters will be able to travel back and forth from current guild wars to chapter 2 and all other FUTURE chapters.

It simply does not make sense if they block current characters. I'm one of the people and I know others that are attached to the current characters and want to continue on with the story while using them.

When buying chapter 2, you just have to install it and then use the manage keys and add the key and your copy gets upgraded.

If you install on a seperate account by using another email address then it will be as if you do not own chapter 1 and you won't be able to use the characters to go from one to another.

You have to add the key to your current account.

Huh? One extra slot? On both accounts (one prophecies, one factions)? Is there something I'm missing? Where did 5 slots/account come from?
